WHAT NEXT?
ARE YOU READY SHOULD THE WORST HAPPEN?
This year’s Industry Day will focus on what happens immediately after a serious accident. In the morning sessions we will be hearing from operators who have experienced just such an incident, the
professionals and agencies that will come on site and be in contact such as the Police, Paramedics, EHO/HSE, insurers and the Press.
Over lunch there will be the opportunity for networking and going on some of the activities at RockReef – if the weather is good the zip wire will be open (250m pier to beach zip), indoor walls and
caving.
After lunch we will hear a short presentation followed by a practical/demo session
We will then round up the day with a presentation from Pharos Response
'Communications in a crisis - keeping your reputation in tact'.

in and around the Bournemouth area.
On Tuesday 19th November –
we will be hosting Pharos Response at RockReef covering the key topics of how to respond to a critical incident, specifically tailored to the climbing/high ropes sector. The agenda will cover how to identify what makes an incident critical, leadership
in a crisis, the operational response, the communications response and the legal perspective. We'll use case study analyses and practical simulation exercises including phone calls with actors to bring the content to life and reinforce learning. This will
be delivered by Julian Penney, MD of Pharos Response. This will require a minimum of 20 to run.
On Thursday 20th November – Vertex will be running a training day at RockReef in rescue scenarios from off-ground activities.
