A competent person should have enough appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge and experience of Personal Protective Equipment, so they can carry out a thorough systematic and detailed inspection to detect defects or weaknesses that are or might become dangerous and assess how important they are in relation to the safety and continued use of the equipment. This RoSPA assured course fulfils the requirements of a competent PPE inspector under EN 15567: 2015 + A1:2020 Ropes Courses and BS EN 365: 2004 PPE against falls from height; periodic examination.

Candidates will be issued with a certificate on successful completion of the training course which is valid for 3 years. Validity of the certificate can be extended by completing a refresher course.
