Safety warning related to a potential hazard with vertical mounted wire ropes on continous safety systems (class E)


Two accidents in May 2018 highlighted a potential danger that could affect installations with continous safety systems (Class E, EN 15567: 2015), especially when the wire rope is mounted in vertical orientation. For a final assessment further investigations are required.
