Vertex Industry Day
Whilst our industry may be a relatively small part of the outdoor educational and leisure sector, our impact reaches out to every corner of society touching the lives of millions of people each year. The last 2 years have certainly been the most challenging that we can remember, and we hope the most challenging we ever have to experience. If we have learnt anything, it is through collaboration and coming together in a myriad of different ways, including events like this, that we have proven we can survive and grow as an industry. This will be the 7th industry day, and we truly hope that it will be last held virtually and that we can come together in person in 2022 for a BIG party!
In order for us to gauge the interest in the presentations throughout the day you MUST pre-register on Zoom for either the morning and/or afternoon sessions and indicate which presentations you will be attending. If you wish to attend both please pre-register for both sessions.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting(s).
As with any virtual event they work best if everyone engages fully. The speakers will be delivering presentations which will include videos, PowerPoints etc. We will make use of chat rooms and there will be a Q&A after each session. We will end the day with a quiz – 1st Prize will be £500 of Petzl kit and 2nd Prize will be £250 of Petzl kit.
Immediately, following each presentation, break out rooms will be open where you will gather in small groups to discuss and chat through the topics and then come back to the main room when any further questions can be asked of the presenters.
Where we have permission, recordings of the main presentations will be available to watch again online for up to 2 weeks.
