“CK” – Collective Knowledge Project (United Kingdom)
Attention please, all operators in the UK Outdoor Adventure Activities sector: We, the European Ropes Course Association, would like to endorse the upcoming “CK – Participation and Incident Snapshot Survey” for the field of outdoor adventure activities.
The aim of the survey is to collect information about and understand interdependencies between:
- Participation levels- Residential and expedition overnight stays
- Incidents and their features, comparing them against participation levels
This survey is part of the wider ‘Collective Knowledge’ (short: CK) project, which began in 2023. Stemming from the Adventure Activities Industry Advisory Committee (AAIAC), a working group was established to look at new ways of sharing safety lessons and knowledge across the sector. By partnering with the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), and the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL), we have been able to access funding through Interface which has helped move the project to this point.
It is crucial for the project’s success that you and other operators from the sector take part!
To this end:- … your organisation must be established in the United Kingdom;
- … do not miss the closing date for your initial participation registration. Please complete it no later than 19th Dec 2025;
- … you will have the opportunity to learn more in one of the webinars: 9th Oct, 21st Oct, 4th Nov;
- … you will find all further information at: www.outdoor-learning.org/standards/safety/collective-knowledge-project.html
Thank you for your attention and please consider your participation.
