PETZL published a more detailed information regarding the ZIGZAG issue and advised to stop using the PETZL ZIGZAG mechanical prusik immediately. This precautionary stoppage will remain in place until PETZL has communicated an appropriate solution to maximize the safety of ZIGZAG users (scheduled for 22nd May 2013).
