This introductory workshop explores practical ways to make ropes courses more accessible for disabled and neurodivergent participants, helping operators understand inclusive adaptations, supportive practice, and participant-centred delivery.

Why this matters to ERCA

For more than 15 years, the ERCA Inclusion Working Group has collaborated internationally to develop concepts, guidelines, and approaches that ensure ropes courses can be accessed by everyone.

Through voluntary contributions from passionate members and inclusive operators, this work has supported:
•⁠ 3 fully inclusive ropes course projects delivered from the ground up
•⁠ 8 member operators offering inclusive programmes at their centres
•⁠ 2 new inclusion-focused projects currently in development

This workshop continues that mission, helping our industry grow in confidence, competence, and accessibility for all participants.
